Why? The first half is rather slow. The author delves into her characters a lot and it bogs down the suspense thread. That said, the second half really cooks! I thought it read like a nice "cross over" book. I think the suspense was great in both of them, and just picked this one up. The other two are titled "Seven Minutes to Noon" and "Five Summer Days". That was all I could find from her backlist.
