Things that bug me (rant)

I spent last night not feeling so great. Why? One of my neighbors in our apartment building must have been smoking and the scent wafted into our apartment. Never mind that the windows and doors were shut, I could still smell it. So I spent the night with a headache and that disgusting smell up my nose. Sometimes I hate my nose. Husband couldn't smell a thing, but oh boy could I. I'm going to restrain myself and not rant about how much I hate smoking. I'd probably greatly offend people and that wouldn't be nice.

The other thing that's been bugging me is this whole teaching "creationism" in schools. I see an article about it and my eyes bug out and I feel this rage inside me that I just want to go and shake these idiot people who believe it should be taught as a science. Yeah, so it's a bit extreme, but it drives me up the wall. If you believe in it, go to church and learn it there. It does not belong in schools and doesn't deserve space alongside evolution. I don't even have kids and I get unreasonably upset about this issue. I have no clue why, but it seriously bugs me. Alongside teaching abstinence-only in sex-ed. That bugs me too. *sigh*

Okay, on to the previously scheduled stuff. Like books.

This is the first I've heard of it.
But no matter. The title explains it well. I agree. Science should be taught in school .
The other is not science. Who are they trying to kid?
If they can't create a CCD program that works that's their problem, just don't shove it in the schools and confuse the issue. Yep, its religion and should be taught by the religious. Unless the school is question is parochial....creationism has no place in a public school curriculum.
Is there enough uproar to boot it out??????
Man, I HOPE so!

I'm beginning to think there is a conspiracy and people are just making crap up to be controversial. Are there really people out there that believe creationism should be taught in schools? In all honesty, I don't know how evolution negates God but then, I don't think these people can form a logical thought.

As for scents, I must have been a hound dog in a former life. I can't even wear perfume on my wrists as the scent will hit me and I'll wonder what it is. I don't care if others wear it so that's okay. I'm always the first to ask, what is that smell?

We had a gas leak in our garage and I was sitting in the family room trying to convince my family that I could smell gasoline. No one else could smell it. After a half an hour my dad went out and discovered that his lawnmower gas jug had leaked on the wall between the garage and the family room. I always trust my nose - unless I smell burning toast, then I start panicking ;)
